The Story:
The company was originally started in Cedar City, in 1995 by Adam Rue who was attending Southern Utah University. He saw a big need in the area for quality DJs and created his first DJ company. Adam is originally from Southern California where he grew up around music, music production, and quickly learned that music and DJing was a great way to make money, and help people on one of their most important of days, especially with weddings. In Cedar City, the business was started with just himself, and a small setup of speakers and lights but it soon grew. The company and Adam moved to St. George in 2008, and thats when more DJs were added including Shawn Denevan and Chris Noel. The 3 DJs quickly took control of the St. George DJ and wedding scene, and Festival Sounds grew to a 150 event-per-year business in 2010.
Since then, many more DJs have been added to the roster. Adam has spend his time looking all over for the best DJs in the area, and making sure they all have the best training needed to make any event a success. We are proud that we have been consistently providing sound at over 300 weddings, parties, dances, community events, and races all over Southern Utah, Nevada and Arizona each year.
In 2009, Festival Sounds started providing sound for marathons and half-marathons, and found a unique niche that was needed in the area. We have since partnered with The cities of St. George, Cedar City, Parowan, Ivins, Santa Clara, Hurricane, and many other race organizations to bring sound and announcing to most of the races you may attend in the Southern Utah area. We currently provide sound and announcing for over 30 races all over the country.
